hey guys

 

i just got hold of a k-t bell housing and a new motor.

i have it all sitting in the car. but the g/box crossmember doesnt line up with and holes in the car

is there a certain gbox mout i have to use or do i have to make a custom one?

Just slot the holes in the one you've got 5-10mm and you'll be apples. :( :D Or maybe that was to line up with the second set of holes in a 30/55. how far off are they?

 

Oh and cable or hydro? I'll add you to the "K-T rollcall" thread. :D

don't no if it helps but i had a ae71 cross member and the three holes for the gearbox mount where way off centre.

 

can't check how much as ive sold it,but defently way off centre.

I am guessing you need a T50 crossmember, manual one too as the autos are different also.

 

Even though you have drilled for the rubber mount holes the gearbox mount position might be further forward/back from k50 to t50.

They only go one way, so as Taz Rx said turn it around.

I assume you are using a T50 crossmember as they are different?

 

The CM that came on my K-T50 was the same as a K40/50 one. Not sure if thats the " original" one though.
