There's also a spray you can get called "RH-22 Reluctor" or something. But you'll pay though the arse for a 750mL can - approx $25. It'll help to break a frozen/rusted nut. Can get it in the tool section of bunnings.

Edit - if you have the access - a gas-axe (or a gas torch thing) set to just to the flame can work a treat. Heat the nut to expand it.

I don't want or need 1 as I use 6 point sockets but I reckon they would be good for removing wheel lock nuts, I have tried to explain them to a few people over the last few years but never actually knew what they were.

Sorry, sounded like you did want one :P

Yeah but if I knew the name of them ages ago I would of bought some wouldn't I :bash:, I just never knew what they were, Was trying to explain them to my dad one day as he often picks up cars with lock nuts and no socket to undo them.

cheaper one by Loctite is FREEZE AND RELEASE

about 13 a can, and actually has a type of liquid nitrogen to freeze the fasteners, causing corrosion to break, then the penetrant wicks in.

I find that stuff doesn't get cold more than WD-40

The best release agent I've ever used, bar none, is some stuff called Mouse Milk. And a heat gun. As used by Aviation Professionals. :P

Also +1 for Metrinch tooling. I've removed circular bolts with my set.
