imprezd Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Hey geys just thought it would be good to get everyones favourite stop points for future cruises... Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 That stop by the water where we had the crash was a good spot. Quote
h1_roll4 Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Uh. Maybe the stops arn't so important. But the roads taken to get there...? Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 The road me and Mark took getting out from the zig zags (zig zags were too packed). Best run I've had in ages :) Quote
imprezd Posted July 6, 2010 Author Report Posted July 6, 2010 They can be rather important cos if we don't have stops then there are no roads between to cruise on lol Quote
chrisandliz[RL] Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 my favorite is Zigzag, Mundaring weir and Canning dam............. Awesome roads to link all three together, not a traffic light in sight. (it is even better on a cbr250rr) I always feel a cruise should be just that, not all this stop start BS. Traffic lights = GAY (like twilight amounts of gayness) Quote
marksKE25 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) agreed. i like the more country style back roads twisty and turns :) with a stop or 2 at a place with some form of coffee/ lunch so that as a group we can chat about how great corollas are. Maybe with a finish point like the OBH to bring it back to the city. Edited July 8, 2010 by marksKE25 Quote
white_sandshoe Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 I'm getting to the point where I don't mind main street sorta cruises... I dream of rollaclub getting tidy and respectable enough to take a cruise through northbridge or freo main drag and not get laughed at. I think it's slowly getting there, but at the same time, I know full well that most guys are into corollas because of how fun they are to blast around twisties in... There's plenty of picturesque stops... up in the hills, around the city (kings park, foreshore, south perth etc) and along the coast. I agree traffic lights are sucky, except for the odd drag... haha. only up to the speed limit of course. Some good fun can be had on Park Road, through John Forrest National Park, though the surface is a bit sketchy. Canning Dam Road is the absolute winner in my book. I've seen some interesting back tracks that could serve as makeshift circuits for time trials and the like, but haven't had the urge to look closer. Might have to "step it up a notch" and take some exploritory drives... Quote
