dysolve Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 HI all, I could not find a ke20 radiator in all of canberra so i got my self a rebuilt ke30 one for $80 (with 1 yr warranty) Its all mounted in the car but I cut down new ke20 hoses to suit but some times they leak, anybody have any idea what hose i can use? Is there such a thing as multifit hose's? What do people do when they put completly different setup under the bonnet? thanks in advance... Quote
demuire Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Where do they leak? Maybe try different clamps. Quote
Super Jamie Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 i had a ke30 radiator in my ke25. it was mounted in the stock holes on the drivers side, and i made brackets for the passenger side i used stock ke30 radiator hoses, i might have trimmed the bottom hose down, i can't remember. mine never leaked either way i hope you're not using spring clamps or cheap shitty screw-type clamps, that's probably half your problem, go to a truck parts place or the bolt barn and get some t-bolt clamps Quote
coln72 Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 Running a KE30 radiator as well in a KE20 with no leaking problems, even with the thermo fans temp probe in the top hose. Had to cut down both hoses as the radiator has been moved back. Could try to tape up the radiator outlets to make the hose a tighter fit. Dodgey but it works......... Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 when i went to the 4ke i cut a 1 inch piece of a smaller diameter host that fit the water outlet and put it inside the larger hose going to the radiator making a kind of sleeve when i put the '84 starlet 4ke radiator in i had no problems with leakage Quote
