hey mate, ive just done this conversion and tried to do rb mounts. yes the ca engine mounts bolted up to factory ke crossmember with rb mounts, BUT the engine sump was about 60mm off the crossmember. so we welded custom mounts onto the ke crossmember to suit to get engine lower.

Could you just weld a length of 60mm rectangle tube to the x member so it's closer? How much clearance should there be? Also does the bonnet close with it sitting high?

why would you want to have the motor sitting higher in the car, the idea of it is to lower the motor in the car so it doesn't affect the cars centre of gravity so much, i've been told that if you go about using rb mounts into a ke crossmember with a ca, you have the cut the bonnet to get it to sit right then you have to figure out how to cover it and keep it legal, i would be happy with about 30mm clearance from bottom of sump to crossmember work around that figure then see how you go with it

Lower the better :) I'll be asking my engineer the minimum clearance for sump to crossmember and then trying to get it to that. Thinking about 10mm would be good :)
