in N its in reverse. doesnt like 1/2 gear, other gears normal and reverse is reverse??????????????

its a ke55 K50 5 speed

this isnt the one with the left over detent ball.

i changed the input seal/bearing. i'll pull it down and see whats going on. meanwhile the k40 will go back in.

That reminds me of an old mate that rebuilt his motor and had a bucket load of nuts and bolts left over

Yea man, them piston things, i took em out for weight reduction...should rev better?

 

On topic, could possibly be the selector arms that hang out the back when you pull the rear housing off. Might be misaligned with the shifter?

all fixed now. reverse shaft wasnt held in by the first gear selector bracket causing 6 reverse gears LOL

changing something inside the diff will do that too.. 1 fwd gear and 5 reverse :)
