Hey guys, new guy here. My name is Cody, and I'm from Martin, Ga. Hopefully the new owner of a '81 wagon this coming Friday. runs great, needs brake work. Owner wants $400.00 for it. Rust is only surface, no holes.. yet. I'm mainly wanting to use it as a DD while I finish building my Supra(s).

I'm wanting to buy it, flat black it, and stick 4 of my 14 p-type Supra 14'' rims on it. I think it would look pretty descent. Maybe wrap the interior in some new material, heck, I dunno. Anyways, thanks for having me guys.

Oh yeah, my turds.

Went and picked it up today! Drove it a hour and a half back home with me with zero issues. A few things that caught my attention:

If you step on the gas, the fuel hand in the cluster will slowly go to empty, let off of the gas, and it goes back to where ever it's at.

The drivers side window trys to jump into the car with you if you don't let it down before you take off

The rear door isn't shutting right, I need to adjust it.

Other than that and an exhaust leak, it is awesome!.. And ugly. I'll fix that.

You've definitely got a helluva job ahead of you making her pretty again... But props for saving another old Rolla from the crusher's hungry jaws

Is it running a K or T series driveline?

Leave the body as is and drop it low and mod the car, motorfix style! I like the look of some cars 'as found'.

I agree with this 100%. The car has deteriorated in a very aesthetically pleasing way. Money would be best spent on getting it to go fast and hard!

For sure, fresh lights and chrome. Straight bumpers, just beat out the dent don't even bog it.

Sick wheels, nice suspension.

Clear coat the rust.

Then polish the turd.

I'm glad others think the way I do. I was thinking of just leaving the body as is other than the dent. I'm having trouble with the wheels. I got 225/60/14's to fit the rear, but 215/60/14's in the front scrub. I don't know what tire size I need to get. I'm going to try for some 205's all around and see where that gets me. If not, I may wind up rolling the fenders slightly. I did remove the rear bumper though. I took it off because I found out their was a gigantic ant bed inside. But when I went to put it back on, I couldn't find the heart. It looks so slick without the rear bumper.

I also fitted a Toyota Cressida dome light. It bolted, and plugged up perfectly.

And I found out that with a little bolt hole elongating and wiring, the mkIII Supra electronic seats fit great.

We actually are almost in the same boat as you guys. Our 14'' selection is getting smaller every year. I did fix my tire issue today. I rolled the fenders. Finally finished wiring in my mkIII Supra seat, and it works like a charm.
