Evan G Posted June 27, 2010 Author Report Posted June 27, 2010 Did you get a pic Ev? jesus that timing cover is tricky to get the sump gasket on especially when your hands are covered in threebond! Quote

Trev Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Evan go buy a cheap bottle of oil and pour it into the engine using it as an engine flush letting it run out of the sump. Quote

Get them to give it a full clean while you're there. New engine and clogged radiator = fail! Edited June 28, 2010 by Bamboo Quote

Andy43 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Evan I feel your pain. At least you found it before it became a problem CYA Andy Quote
Trev Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I think you are lucky that you put water in it without the sump plug being in. Quote
Bamboo Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 i gave it a good workout with the pressure washer at work  but they stick rods down the holes....sorta like a medical condition you can pick up from not so nice girls! Quote

If you weren't monitoring how much water you were pouring into it you would have kept topping it up unitl it filled the ENTIRE motor and started dribbling back out of the PCV valves etc. That would really suck. (headgasket replaced, and its still going strong 18months later!) Quote
