well there are these... they may work...

or there are these.. they will work but sit your engine a little lower or higher.. unsure which way but they will work anyways.

id say the ke70s would make the engine sit higher by the looks of them. id say the earlier ones would match in better. they were an option at the shop but wasnt sure if they would work

thanks for your help mate

ok so turns out the fuel pump is fine, filter is fine. I'm thinking the carby might need some attention.. but i wouldnt have the faintest idea what to look for. pulled the top off and checked a couple things they suggest in the workshop manual... all seemed ok but it still wont start. not even a cough. unless i pour some juice down the carby...

feeling a bit like.... :(

i think i need to call in some favours from mates haha

is fuel getting into the bowl?

the bowl was empty when i cracked it open (before i tried to start it today) so i pulled out the needle and cleaned it out didnt seem to have any blocks

changed one of the fuel hoses that seemed a bit dodgey

i am in no way mechanicly minded when it come to the practical side of things... damn it

most mig welders can do either gas or gasless. gasless is fine for car panels.. jst spot weld and keep it cool.

haha cheers man, yeh I've used gasless way back at school, its been a while but prefer gas to get a nice smooth weld without bits of splatter :(

Just a hint, remove the inspection plates and wiper motor from the top of your fire wall, see if you can see whats caused the rust? Usually you'll find it'll be full of leaves and green matter of the sort. just about every rolla i've had/have has this problem,

cheers phatke30!

so ive hit a road block... in the form of lack of inspiration... and time...

so all i have to do is smooth off the body work then paint and then on to mechanical-so i don't really have much to do.

on the other hand my plans may change. my sister has written off her 88 rolla (4age) that I'm now wrecking...(ive started a new topic for it) and i keep looking under that bonnet and keep thinking it might be time for a heart transplant.... but that will just adds more headaches... but food for thought ;)
