Grand Master of Awesome Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 had a blue slip inspection today failed on; - left hand front tyre deformed. - left hand park light not working - battery not secure - ignition key comes out - reverse lights don't work - brake lights don't work big thank you to user: stx-16 aka sam for letting me wake him up at 9am after the inspection to help me try and fix things. we got everything done except brake lights and reverse lights both of which arent getting a current through them so I'm thinking maybe a fuse is gone. tail lights work just no brake lights so are they on a different fuse or is it looking like being a wiring issue? twisted2 Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 maybe brake light switch on pedal box Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted June 30, 2010 Author Report Posted June 30, 2010 turns out there was no power from the ignition to the switch. all good now and have rego ;D going to gympie but as soon as i get back ill start getting into doing stuff Quote
ke70dave Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 just curious what did you do about the "ignition key comes out" problem? mine does that....didnt realise it was a RWC thing though. Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 I just had some other ke70 keys around from other ones I've owned and one fitted the ignition and stayed in haha. If you wanted to fix it properly take the ignition barrel out and take it to a locksmith and they can cut you a new key with it for about $40 or so. I suppose it's kind of important since you turn the car on and you can pull the key out whilst it's still running haha. Quote
e70van Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 good work on getting rego. :) get some more pics up and a list of your plans! Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 ill get more photos eventually haha drove to Tin can Bay and back in this, made it without any dramas which makes me happy! i put 13x7 rebels on the front today and just have cheviot dragway style rims on the rear. might get diff locked this week some time and suspension in soon. undecided on lowering blocks or flipped leafs. and then either way ill have sierra shocks in the rear to go with it. since panelvan shocks are shorter than sedan they should be a nice size ;D Quote

e70van Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Lowering blocks are balls.. don't waste your money. best to get the leaves reset and add +1 to the packs. BUT, in the mean time i would flip the script! :hmm: Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 thanks for the input! how much flipping would be required for say 2 inches lower? Quote
