rockinrolla Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Can anyone help I looking for a set of 3k big port gaskets, QLD gaskets said they can make me a set for approximately $150, for one set of gaskets, seems a bit rich, but if that's the only way I'll have to. :) :) :bash:  ;) HELP ME Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 What type of gasket? If you want the manifold and exhaust one go to any car shop ask for a "extractor gastedt 3K toyota" in bottom note of ACL book lists it. This is a big port suited gastek. Now that also opens up a can of worms if you want a REAL K-B manifold gasket you have to custom make NO ONE makes 3k-B or K-B gaskets. I have one and it is asbestos that is how old it is. So if you want a real K-B one custom. If you jsut need a bifg port sized one you need an extractor gasket. Cheers Cameron Quote
rockinrolla Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 here I have an original 3kb twin carbie gaskety on the bottom and the off the shelf generic brand k series gasket on the top, the port sizes on the intake are alot larger and the exhaust side is only marginly larger but can be taken out, do you think that having them make is the only way or will the extractor one match up. camerondownunder88 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 An ACL extractor gasket is same as bpottom one larger holes for larger ports. But is a one piece. But I have to ask...WHERE did you get the bottom gasket from? I need a set asap for the KE15? Cheers Cameron Quote
rockinrolla Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 had i the shed for the last 8 years, been using it as a template, never found its mate. :) :) :bash:  Quote
Felix Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I guess the thing to ask is.... Does your head have the holes in it for the water galleries to the inlet manifold? If no then you should be fine with a normal extractor gasket. If yes, well you will then either need to find someone to make a custom gasket, or buy a blank sheet of gasket material and make your own. Quote

parrot Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Ha!. As I was reading through I'm thinking, "Geez, i wonder if he could photocopy one for me?" You have PM! Quote

Then you can just use a normal extractor gasket. Quote

Then you can just use a normal extractor gasket. If you do, find yourself a Permaseal EM30. Thats the part number for the extractor gaskets Cam is talking about,..... just not ACL. :) They cost like $8 too! :) Quote
