Nice XR Matt.

 

I'd leave the 289 in there. You could Work it, and put like a B&M Under-the-Bonnet Blower on it.

 

Restore it to it's originality and then you'll have there a really nice XR cruiser.

for 3 years now i have been looking for an old falcon and then i see your post, $3000 you lucky barstard.......

 

in sydney people want $6-7000 for a rusted out plie of crap that only someone with deep pockets can fix.

 

in 2001 a mate offered his 351c XW fairmont to me for $7000 drive away and i said too dear no way and when i seen him last year for the frist time in years i asked how much for the XW now i want to buy it, well how does $40,000 sound i said too dear no way.

 

well i am still kickin my self for not buying it the frist time....
