jaygore Posted June 2, 2010 Author Report Posted June 2, 2010 wow flat front is sooo much sexier!! i think the 73 bonnet is much sexier, i think i like it more due to it having more lines and seems to have better style. But everyones different in what they like hey :abuse: Quote
abbott Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 well look at this pulling an old topic back up i was just wondering whether its possible to put the early model grill on a later model? and if its difficult, ke20 obviously. just out of a matter of interest and also work needed to put a ke25 grill on. cheers tom Quote
Tally Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 early model grills only fit early models, late models ke20 ke25 can be swapped have same mounting points. Quote
Nostalgia Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 ^^^ 72 is my fave. So you couldn't fit a 72 setup on a late 73/74 ke20? What if you made new mounting points? Wouldn't be too hard surely Quote
PHATKE20S Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) Swapping over the grilles is as easy as drilling out the spot-welds on the mounting points and welding them back on where you need them. Corner garnishes are a bit more difficult if you want to convert a late front to early. The early guards have a cutout behind the garnish to accomodate the indicator, so this needs to be cut out of the late guards. Bonnets are a straight forward changeover, from memory the radiator support panel where the bonnet locks down is the same aswell. Hope this helps Cheers Dougy Edited February 15, 2011 by PHATKE20S Quote
GJM85 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I just picked a ke25 grill from ebay. It's goiing on the 20. The top three mounting points are sweet. The lower center is to the left instead of the right and the lower outers are further out than the 20 grills. I currently have 3 grills with the pointi centre and one ke25. Quote
RA28GT Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I've got a TA22 Grill. I'm cool. Quote
