Tiger Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Damn! Sexy is written all over that engine bay! And the internals... my goodness! Jam packed with serious fun! Pop tart style  (If you never saw the commercial, you'll never understand that last comment! haha) Welcome to Rollaclub too! :jamie: Keep us posted on this beast!! Quote
Redwarf Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 (edited) As a resident drift hang-shit-on-erer, it hurts me to admit that this is going to be a really nice bit of kit. :jamie: As such, can I've a drive?? The only thing I can find wrong with it is that Wilwood only has one "l" in it. Edited August 10, 2005 by Redwarf Quote
Raceflo Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 Cheers guys, thanks for having me. as far as the injectors go, i am still deciding if i will stay with the GT35R or go up to the GT42R so the take no prisoners approach was implemented, just in case. sorry the shot is a bit old, i will get some more up when it is painted Cheers Jon Quote
Toycrash Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Nice, very nice! Isn't the pig a little understatement? Hog might be better, when looking at your engine. That would sit nicely in my racer.. hmm.. :jamie: Quote
demuire Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 That's umm... WOW. I LIKE :jamie: Aren't 3S engines quad throttle bodied? If so, why convert back to single throttle body? That's really nice. I like it  Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Nice piece of work there......... Pity its a drift beast, and not a streeter..... :jamie: Quote
Ke50 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 the rules (if i have them correct) in quensland are that as long as the wheels are covered, as in there tyre does not protrude from the body, then it is legal (with the gaurds being part of the body). you would attract alot of attention with that colour though so i wouldnt count on it, the cops would do you for something..because they can. also the GT42R turbo's specs may be misleading, 1000hp is the figure that it is capable of flowing (its usually give or take about 100-150hp of that figure), so it doesnt nessesarily mean when you bolt it on it will give you 1000hp, although it would be handy. having said that I'm not aware of any 3s's that have gotten that sort of figure? (maybe i need to get out more?) i suppose it possible though. Quote
Jason Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 that..... is..... so..... COOL! :jamie: Quote
Raceflo Posted August 11, 2005 Author Report Posted August 11, 2005 Cheers guys thanks for your input Nick, it certainly sounds like you know your stuff, so far I am in agreement with every thing you have said, so it saves me posting, cheers for that. The only thing I will add with regars to the wheels is that the maximum size allowed under Australian Design Regulation is 10" and the rears are 12" and as such would not be passed in any state. As soon as I can find a spare ST205 engine it will be dismantled and the head will be sent off to be ported, Bench flowed and tested, titanium valves fitted amd match ported, so we can chase every last HP in the engine. demuire Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 R33 GTR skyline rear 2 spot calipers and DBA cross drilled and slotted rotors on the rear Quote
demuire Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 It is very nice, isn't it? What hubs are you running (to get the 5 stud)? You mentioned custom coilvers from T3, what are these modified from? Standard AE86 struts? Did you find the metal heat shield over the radiator to help much with cooling? Quote
demuire Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I think there were some previous discussions about having *too much* braking power in a non-ABS equipped car. Meh, I stand by my "never too much braking power" philosophy. As for bias, the only way to test this would be to drive the car, and adjust accordingly. My car is very slightly biased toward the rear, but not enough for me to justify getting a bias valve at the moment. It only becomes a slight problem when I jump on the brakes hard, if I brush-and-bury (which is what you're meant to do anyway) it's fine. Quote
