you got a 50 50 chance. If the drum doesnt get tighter to get on, your going the wrong way!

oh common dude! LLOL....!

You know how painstaking it is.. moving mm by mm then having to do it the other way again if wrong?? lol ;)

Think when I adjusted my drums recently I had to turn the adjusters upwards (screwdriver handle down).

But then again your adjusters could have been installed the opposite from what mine are.

just take off the outside drum bit, and check which way makes the shoes spread appart, and which way closes them up....

ahh but my left drum is a pain in the bung hole.. last time a replaced the wheel cyclinder i had to take off the whole axle and bang the drum cover off, was so tight.. don't mind doing it just no time before work, needed quick answer..

but yes a 100% accurate reply ;)

There is a threaded hole (or two) on the face of the drums. Screw a 10mm (head) bolt in and they pop off real easy. ;)

yeah right...!

bugger i may have just missed those lil darn things... pays to ask doesn't it! Would have made life so much simpler..

cheers again Mr!

Yes Turn up (so adjuster/screw driver handle goes down) to wind off the drum shoes.

TO tighten screw driver handle goes up to turn adjuster down.

Also yes 2 holes in front of drum VERY HAND ;) I have 2 bolts in my tool box that fit and wind drum off easy.

OH OH..

you've just gone 180 degrees to what Felix and i were thinking Cam man!

i'm thinking: "flicking the adjuster wheel to go upwards, thus srew driver handle goes down", for tightening?? eek!

A CONFUSCIOUS DAY...

It depends on how the the adjusters are orientated. ie, looking at one axle, you can pull the adjusters out and swap from side to side. One adjuster is right hand threaded, the other left handed.

OOO yes ok not to scare you as felix has just said if adjusters go in ass about adjustment will reverse..LOL

I have a Toyota factory manual and that is how my diff in the KE15 is. Mine has factory rear brake cyclinders still so yours might of been changed and placed in backwards.

So I guess you might ust have to get under the car and play.

Cheers
