Hi fellas, I’ve had my ke70 running perfect with my 5K for ages now but its now electronically rooted! I've lent the car to my brother and he’s messed around with the coil + igniter setup and now I can’t remember how i originally wired it and have lost my diagrams on how to wire it :D

so this is what i have

distributor with 3 wires

bosch igniter 6 pin

bosch GT40 coil

Is that a Jaycar electronic ignition setup ? Cause the k-series electronic setup used a reluctor style ignition. Unless Felix or someone steps in i might be able to help with the diagrams. Just need to find the stuff

Got your email. Agree with towe, the internals of the dizzy don't look like stock K. It seems to be one of the "convert your points to electronmic" type kits.

the colors coming out of the dizzy are red black and brown, these look to be changed even tho its very stock looking inside the dizzy the wires are black with red stripe , black with green stripe and the third is just black

My dads toranna has the same ignitor system ;)

He bought it way back when it was a kit from Bosch. Could get it to suit 4,6,8 cyclinder cars.

Ill ask him when he gets home if he has the manual for his still might have how to wire it up. As even his dizzy internals look the same.

Cheers

Looks like a 4k Bosch dizzy which has had some of its innards substituted from another car which had a Bosch electronic dizzy. Sigma maybe?

Camira

Holden Camira

Just not sure of the year but

And i'm pretty sure you'll find the igniter module is from the same model camira.

If not camira then Pulsar

Bosch Ignition Parts

GB, GH, and GJ Sigmas and some Bluebirds share the same dizzy cap as the ke55 and ke70 corollas. Notice that points and condensors aren't listed for them. ;)

Bosch dizzys are a modular design. A lot of parts are interchangeable between them.

The manual i have for the GE Sigma talks about either a points style or reluctor style dizzy. The Camira is a Hall effect style.

The cap on the camira dizzy is taller then the one for the Nippon Denso (ke30 with the octane selector) but its the same size in diameter.

But all in all the wire colours i have on my camira dizzy are different - and the same thing goes for in the manual i have (different). But then again the wiring diagram in the manual is pretty crap.

So i don't know with the wiring ;)
