Yeah I see ministock stuff all the time when having a browse for K series stuff on trademe. They do look a bit more serious than our junior speedway cars though.

Not really more serious in theory, of course people get carried away though. Standard chassis plans, standard bodies are cheap, all standard components from your donor car (suspension/diff/gearbox/engine/steering/wheels) and must be setup to run left or right turns. In theory it limits expensive mods and keeps racing close. The standard chassis was used mainly for the look and so you didn't have to find a good condition body. Also keeps all your safety gear like roll cage the same for everyone. Basically can use any of the 1200 Datsun or 3K Toyotas which are rusting out all over the place.

Which is where you should have started anyway.

A corolla guy at pedders says something about commodore camber tops, and someone else on this thread has done the modification to their car. I think Ryan or someone else....
