fusion Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 Hey guys, Was hoping you could help me out with tyre choice. I am still a little unsure what I should be getting as I haven't had much experince, if any, with 13" tyres. Rim for tyres is a 13" x 6.5", and the vechile looks to be a Daihatsu Mira. Options: 1) Khumo 155/65 at $100 2) Hanhook 155/65 at $130 2) Yokohama from England (road grip kind of tyre) 175/50 at $150ish 3) Yokohama A008 semi slicks at just a little over $200 in 175/50 I have looked into 155/60 from Japan and it is just going to be a very expensive excersise from what I have been told. I have also been told that a 175/50 will give me roughly the same rolling diameter in comparision to stock rim / tyre choice. Personaly I was leaning towards the 175/50 Yokohamas from England though. So if anyone could shed some light one what they think would be a good option from background knowledge that would be great Cheers Fusion Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 I got a set of maxxis 13's for 300. Not on your list but cheap and good. Bob Jane. Quote
wagn Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 I'm also keen to know opinions on good 13's for 6.5 and 7's Quote
fusion Posted May 14, 2010 Author Report Posted May 14, 2010 I'm also keen to know opinions on good 13's for 6.5 and 7's What do you want out of a 13" though? And what is your budget? Because if you want an awesome grip tyre more in the performance range, than something like the Yokohama Semi Slick will be good for you. However will be around $900 by the time your finished. Personally for a Mira I don't see any point in spending that. On my old Corolla I would of, but I had alot of suspension in that. And thanks for the suggestion blzbub, might pop into them tomorrow Cheers Fusion Quote
