Got some work done today and yesterday.

bought some engine oil and gearbox oil and filter and fuel filter. Fitted and filled all except for gear box oil.

Put the shifter rebuild kit in and clean up the shifter a fair a bit and all is well.

Changed the drivers door hinges from a ke70 and put in a new but used seat belt in and also tried to install a head unit but buggered up the cassette play surround with the dye grinder. The hole is now to large for the Head unit. So if I fail at finding a new one i will make one out of Aluminium sheeting, Unless anyone wants to help me out with a cassette played holder/ surround.

Next weekend will be rust and paint fixtures, hopefully.

Still looking for a Tow bar, Driver side front adjustable seat rail and cassette surround to fit a head unit in. If you have anything lying around Just tell me what you have also. Any help will be appreciated. CHEERS FELLAS

yeah man. Big improvement over the shit bushes that were just in chunks and paste.

My Gear box exterior is VERY oily because that last boot you pull up the shift to get to the bushes has perishes and cracked. So over the years the oil has Gradually seeped and splashed out. but I bought 5L of Nulon easy shift 80 weight oil to go in and ill give the gear box a good degrease aswel.

The Car is quite clean for living in the Tropics all its life and the interior is lovely. It will come up nice with a wet vac and shampoo. Thanks for the comment cream dream. Your car is super horny man! I love wagons.

Haha lolz at your last comment, yea my rubber boot was a bit torn and cracked as well but wasnt leaking much all my bushes in my shifter were long gone as well just granules and rubber paste haha, when i drained my gear box i only got about 300ml of sloppy paste out of it instead of 2.7L of oil haha, i also put a new speedo drive in as my speedo drive was fecked, after a few days i really felt the difference in the smoothness of shifts after the fresh oil worked its magic. :D

Ohh True, I have a feeling my box's oil hasn't been changed since factory :D

So it will be interesting to see what comes out. Is there anyway or anything to put into the gear box that will circulate and clean out the crud... Like abit of diesel or an aftermarket solution. OR do you just put new oil in it and drive for a month then drop the oil again and refill?

Also I bought some UV joints for my tail shaft. Should I fit them before I fill up the box because, Will oil piss out the back if I take out the shaft?

Otherwise that would be a waste of oil if that does happen ;)

please shed some light. Danke schon!
