thanks mate :) are you a member on there ewt?

had someone else that's a member on there that tried commenting on there and ending of just sending me a pm about it. got a bit more written on there about it then on here i think?

got a b&m pro ratchet shifter sitting here in my room to suit 2 speed :) can change the pin position to make it suit 3 speed though if i like would even suit 4 speed in a vl as 4th is via a button.

so yeah basically most likely changing from the manual to a powerglide running a 4-4.5 grand convertor.

Matt

i like the vl mate looking good, i would go a 5500rpm convertor with the glide i have a 5 grand and it is still nice to drive around and it works very well with

the standard turbo 5 grand might sound big but they are not when you are driving around it will hover around 2.5-3 grand on light cruise.

you want your converter 1000rpm higher then when your boost comes on that is if you want to drag race it..

the turbo that i will be using is the same as my mates, with the same manifold and wastegate's. he is making 17psi by 3,300rpm. think he has a 3 or 3.5 stall in his glide.

17 psi by 3,300rpm that's nice, i am only making 10 psi by 3,300 but i think this is because i am only running a 2,5 inch exhaust.

as for what your mate said that sounds about right i think go the 3 grand one, it should get out of the hole good, if you are making good psi

by that time.

is this turbo going to make the 350rwkw you are looking for if so this thing is going to be a weapon to drive!!!!! post-10770-1276044984.gif

that's a top set you are running making that much boost at that rpm with a turbo that big..

the e85 does help a mate just started tuning his car on it and it is making a bit more power but it is still early days.

can you see why i want an rb30 set up like yours in my ke70.

Yeah e85 is good. Guy I know in melb is making 387rwkw on 29psi boost on e85 with a gt3582r and still only running the 0.82 rear and that's through a 5,500 stall and powerglide.

Yeah I love my rb30's :) would put one in my ke36 but it'd never be legal :(

the thing with e85 is can't buy it everywhere that's the only bad thing about it.

i am running a 0.86 rear and a 0.7a/r front it's meant to flow 650hp i just want 250kwatw on the 2litre with about 18psi or so.

big turbo for a 2 litre but a mate's got the same one on he's fj20 with a 5 grand convertor and it work's good

it make's 2 psi at 4000rpm and then 20 psi at 4600rpm, it just go's to show how much that extra 1 litre makes and the garrett turbo over the cheap one.

he has not put the car on a dyno yet, i don't think he will but the plan is to run a 10sec pass on a standard motor..

His car gets tuned at Maztech. And that's where I'll be going also.

My mate that has the same setup as I'll be running tuned his own setup just for the time being and his the one that's getting 17psi by 3,300rpm His setup can be seen on post #297 here http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.p...939&page=12

sorry mate i will have to read better next time.

i would to if i could take my car there if it had microtech, i think i read somewhere they are the best microtech tuners around..
