are you able to remove 3k motor and gearbox out of a ke 36 1977 wagon and replace with 4 k motor and gearbox with out any modifications.

Maybe.

 

If the gearbox is out of a 70, the shifter will be in the wrong position.

 

If the box is out of a 55, you should be fine.

 

If the engine is out of a 70, use your original mounts, otherwise it's all a bolt in job.
