Oh, that is SO COOL. Did you cut the guard? Or did you just drill holes to bolt it on?

 

I even have an excuse now, because my wheels don't fit under my guards, and with spacers they'll be even worse...

The fact that the flares were taken off te27 moulds meant that I had to "splay" the outer edges out. Not much, maybe half an inch each side. I just put the top bolt in then work my way out from there.

Yep, Cut both the inner guard and outer guard. Then welded them together. You can either cut them at the same height and weld a bit in between them, or cut the outer guard then bend the inner guard out and weld. then grind.

Took it for a thrash last night, handles like a go-kart! And with the lightened flywheel it has lost that below 4 grand lagging I had from too much juice. I can see the diff won't last too long with the new clutch either.

 

Hopefully get out to the track this weekend and see what times I can do. :jamie:

OK! There was a mini car club day at the track on the weekend, so will do my darndest to get out on the weekend coming..............
