l1ttle_d3vil Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 ive got a 4age bluetop converted from fwd to rwd in my ke35. I'm using an ae86 ECU and also an ae86 loom and need to get some fault codes out. how do i go about this? ive been told you can't get fault codes with an ae86 loom...is this true? if not, what do i have to do to get them???!? Mr Revhead[RL] Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 does it have a diagnostics port? black plug with a cap about 5cm by 2cm usually mounted to an inner gaurd. i bet it does bridge te1 and e1 and then turn ignition to on. then count the flashes Quote
l1ttle_d3vil Posted August 5, 2005 Author Report Posted August 5, 2005 nope, no black plug. ive got a yellow single-pin plug spare - don't know what its for. ive also got a yellow 2-pin plug spare - it had an adaptor plug with a fuse in it (both of these plugs are on the dizzy end of the loom). the single pin plug isn't for the O2 sensor either, but the plug is connected to the O2 pin on the ecu. this is pretty much a bare engine loom, no fuse boxes or anything. cheers Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 oh ok, i wonder if your missing some bits..... Quote
mumblezzz Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 I beleive the earlier AE86 looms didnt come with a diagnostics plug. So your loom may be from an early model AE86. Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 send me a pm tonight and il have a look at my manual Quote
