Hi I'm Rod and I'm new to the forum.

I have little mech knowledge but can swing a spray gun so if i can help anyone there so be it.

Anyway heres the background i got a ae95 wagon but the engine has done the bottom end. Its got 370000 on the clock but it is still a great car.

I bought another 4AFE but it turns out its a 4AFHE jap import engine and has a few differences to the local engine.

The main one is there is no PCV outlet from the block into the manifold.

So heres where my questions begin.

The PCV purges gasses from the crankcase into the intake manifold depending on throttle speed the more throttle the more the valve opens?

There is another valve that looks simliar to the PCV is this the EGR? If so what is a EGR?

Is there a way to bypass the PCV system so i can use this engine?

If this isnt the right place for this sorry not trying to piss anyone one off just needing help.

Thanks in advance

Rod
