ancullen Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I'm sure that yet again, someone is eternally grateful to the makers of the rollcage. That crash looks pretty nasty (to say the least). Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 And all my friends tell me that you don't need a roll cage and they arent that good anyway and that they don't do anything! PROOF ;) Quote
demuire Posted August 4, 2005 Author Report Posted August 4, 2005 Cameron walked away from this crash with no more than a couple of bruises. Here is a photo from the crash: Roll cages are awesome. Have no fear, the new shell is here: Quote

Corolla_Kid Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Yeah that crash was insane was anyone else there? And the one on sunday in the same spot was just as bad. It was a top weekend but. Quote
Super Jamie Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 you've got to be kidding!? where do you get a porsche shell like that? from porsche i guess... how much was it? Quote
kangaroosa Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 A big hello and thankyou must go out the installers of the infamous ripple strip. I guess the officials will now pull their fingers out and listen to the drivers concerns about the curb. Its a shame it took $1mil though. Where do these blokes get all that money for new porsche shells?.....i guess it helps to have rich sponsors. My old boss used to own and race a V8 supercar back in the late 1990's. Entry fee's alone for a weekend of racing is something like $10,000 (or it was back then). In his last race before selling the car, he came first out of all the privateers at Bathurst. The prize money nearly made it a free weekend for him. Quote
Teddy Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 that would make the best front yard ornament ;) Quote
Super Jamie Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Where do these blokes get all that money for new porsche shells?.....i guess it helps to have rich sponsors they ARE the rich sponsors *jealousy* Quote

Mr Revhead[RL] Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 yeah i saw that on tv... not nice ;) if you wanna run at the top, you gotta have the bucks... goind rate for a new gt3 cup car is 300knz. turnkey. Quote
ancullen Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Is it just me or did I see a dent in the right hand rear quarter panel on that new shell? Wouldn't you want a completely dent-free shell since I'm sure you're paying a fair bit for it? Quote
