Trev Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Going price for a 2zz is generally 2500 - 3000, Well was 2 years ago when we were meant to put one into a spyder Upgrading from a 1zz clutchless manuall), For a sierra type 9 gearbox mounting kit you are looking at close to 2k, When using the 2zz you have to incorporate the transponder unit otherwise it does not work so use the standard ecu or get an aftermarket ecu, You have to also get the rwd exhaust which I don't have a price on, The engine mounting has to be dealt with and then you have the cooling system, I would not expect much change from 8k. Speak to Anthony at Kaizen garage, He was doing the conversion in an AE86 but not sure if he finished or you could call meridian motorsport to get prices of the conversion kit. An f20c can be bought for under 5k. Quote
greenmac80 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 i guess it all depends on how much of those things you can do yourself. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 N/a rotors can rev  And turbos can't? Quote

cuzzo Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 The w5* gearbox input spline suits the 2ZZ? Quote
ke70dave Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 The w5* gearbox input spline suits the 2ZZ? its not so much if it suits the engine, but if it suits the clutch disc. in which case you can just get a custom clutch made up anyway. Quote
LXY-642 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Never said turbo's can't. But isn't he asking about n/a motor's? Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Never said turbo's can't. But isn't he asking about n/a motor's? The OP was asking about Honda engines with VTEC. Last time I checked, rotors were made by Mazda, and didn't have valves, let alone ones with variable lift/timing. Quote
LXY-642 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Yeah but it has lead into n/a motors in general Quote
