Cheers for that.

I used a hotmail.com account so it has probably been bloked by a spam filter.... which means none of my emeils are getting through either.

it's funny people mention about the hotmail account problems as i only use my hotmail and have become members on skylins australia, nissansylvia, ae86dc, rollaclub, toymods and club4age without any hassels what soo ever must just be that no spammer would use bmxsexmonkey as an address ;)

I reported and have waited 4 hours, with no response.

I have clients who pay six figure amounts so their multi-national companies can have IT support and they are lucky to get a response within 4 hours, so I think you are being a bit unreasonable with the websites admin. Maybe give them a day or two before you give up

Amen to that.

A society FULL of those in need of "instant-f@$king-gratfication"

Disagree a bit. I joined ae86dc as I saw a car that I was interested in purchasing. I could view the forums as a guest, but once I had signed up I couldn view them until I had been approved. fair enough It keeps out spammers, but the car was sold by the time my account was validated :P

The problem is there are car forums that behave like a community, like Rollaclub, and there are those that are run like a communist country by a dictator who doesn't, or no longer has interest in the car that their forum represents, who will turn to gestapo tactics at a drop of a hat in an attempt to make a community into a profitable business.

Whilst I accept that it cost you the purchase of a car, it wasn't a problem for the person who did end up purchasing the car

because they didn't just sign up to buy the car

they were already a member who had been validated probably a long time before you.

Nick,

Have you ever thought that maybe someone has to start somewhere and work their way up?

Not everyone joins a forum to only sell their car or make pointless dumb-ass posts.

Maybe the person above would have legitimately stayed on the board and have had some creative input once he had purchased the car?

I'm sure he would have, had the transaction gone to plan and he took ownership of said vehicle.

You need to bring your approach down a few notches man, its really not helping, especially when you're having indirect digs at people and their possible forum behaviour.

Hating, and morally disapproving in someones actions are two different things. You've never done anything personally to offend me, so I don't hate you, but I didn't want to gratify you with a response as there's nothing you could say to me that'll change how I disapprove of your antics.

You should realise that after seeing you delete Rollaclub and Driving club a few times in a ploy to extort money in various ways, I came to the conclusion that I don't know who you were, and I don't know what you stand for.

I miss the old nick that loved his rolla and was full of positive input for the this car community. I don't know why it came to a heads between you and Rollaclub, but you confuse me even more by jumping on here and pretending like nothing happened.

Maybe one day I could be involved in a car forum you're part of, but it would take a few years of not seeing controversies that you're at the center of.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.......

Are you quoting Machine Head?

The more things change, the more they stay the same: A proverb making the observation that turbulent changes do not affect reality on a deeper level other than to cement the status quo.

Says it all really. Quite how a thread about perceived difficulties with registering on forums using generic email accounts somehow became viewed as a personal slight on the proprietor of AE86DC I don't know. I thought I had left that drivel behind.

Sorry Raven, I have no idea what a Machine Head is. :P
