oh what a nissan feeling! Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Yep, pretty straight forward conversion as far as conversions go. The biggest problem is probably the sr20 gearbox is too long for a ke30 tunnel. To solve this use an rb20 box with an sr20 bellhousing. Any specific qs you are welcome to pm me also. Quote
JDM55 Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 hope you got lots a cash, cause it sure adds up all those little bits an pieces, I'm doing it my self, have a look at the gallery i have hundreds of pics of the progress in there may give you an idea of what your iin for or maybe some ideas to play with your self, either way good luck with it cheers Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Actually my advice is bad, the problem is i have been involved with my brothers mid 80s 929 to 2jz conversion which makes my sr20 to corolla conversion look basic, plus everything looks easier after youve done it. this is better advice....... cut from JDM55's sr20 conversion thread. now to any one considering doing this particular conversion,my advice is don't,haha unless of coarse you have a)alot of money b) alot of time c) a few good friends who are willing to give you there time to do hard work on your car for little reward, d) you have some general mechanical skills or some kind of automotive skills ,or e) your quite insane and enjoy punishing your self with rediculous amounts of work .like my self haha, , but seriously if your like myself and you love your corolla and realy want to do it then ,go ahead just be ready for some work ,its not just a matter of slapping in an engine and away you go .....just my thoughts on the hole process, now Quote
