How To Stick Shopping Trolley Strips Onto Car

what should i be using to stick some black shopping trolly strips onto my car?

 

and any tips when installing them?

sikaflex could work, or just go with the trusty old tuff as nails

liking the sikaflex idea a bit more, that or ill just chew some gum and stick it on.

Try bunnings. They sell everything.

Go to a panel shop. They have blokes who come around in cars sticking it on. Get the number and they'll probably give you some tape...if you ask nicely.

This stuff used to be sold with adhesive on the back on it, Why has it changed?

The stuff we have at work is used by the body shops around town and a few in brisbane re-sell it as well

3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape AT-0105-5821-4 (old part number was 4220)

and make sure you get the adhesion promoter #94 with it as well.

 

Other one thats pretty good is Husky A608012G Body Mould Tape. Its a bit cheaper.

 

But as Trev said - it should come with the adhesive backing.

 

I'd stay away from the Sikaflex, unless you want the strips glued to the panels never to come off, then try your luck with Sikaflex 252...
