Grand Master of Awesome Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 what should i be using to stick some black shopping trolly strips onto my car? and any tips when installing them? Quote
madKE35coupe Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 sikaflex could work, or just go with the trusty old tuff as nails Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 wait, what? shopping trolly strips? but yeah like Taz said, you can get hard core double sided tape for this Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 liking the sikaflex idea a bit more, that or ill just chew some gum and stick it on. Quote

Grand Master of Awesome Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 where do i purchase this heavy duty double sided tape  Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 Try bunnings. They sell everything. Quote
Bamboo Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 Go to a panel shop. They have blokes who come around in cars sticking it on. Get the number and they'll probably give you some tape...if you ask nicely. Quote
Trev Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 This stuff used to be sold with adhesive on the back on it, Why has it changed? Quote
7shades Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 Panel SUPPLY shop. 3M tape, nothing less. Or sikaflex. Quote
towe001 Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Panel SUPPLY shop. 3M tape, nothing less. The stuff we have at work is used by the body shops around town and a few in brisbane re-sell it as well 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape AT-0105-5821-4 (old part number was 4220) and make sure you get the adhesion promoter #94 with it as well. Other one thats pretty good is Husky A608012G Body Mould Tape. Its a bit cheaper. But as Trev said - it should come with the adhesive backing. I'd stay away from the Sikaflex, unless you want the strips glued to the panels never to come off, then try your luck with Sikaflex 252... Quote
