LXY-642 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 So any word on the toyoglide being built at all? Quote
ninja-philbo Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 its cheaper to get a 2 speed power glide built with a k bellhousing. got quoted 1500 for a powerglide with bellhousing to suit k rated to 500hp with a converter to suit my needs with transbrake. for the toyo glide built to handle 400hp with a transbrake and converter was gonna cost me 3200 i was keen misso wasnt Quote
cuzzo Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 So your balking at the 3200 for the gearbox but not the $$$$???? for the motor with a t04 or whatever turbo you want to run? Do you have 10K to build this setup? Quote
ninja-philbo Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 ive only got 2 find a shell and sort out a box. i wanted to keep it all k but thats not an option Quote
LXY-642 Posted December 7, 2010 Author Report Posted December 7, 2010 Just hurry up and get my sr20 ke36 and use the sr20 :) it's already got a 4 speed jatco in it to ;) Quote

LXY-642 Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 Wpn36 do u know if a vl turbo jatco bolts up to a ca18? Like can you just swap the bell housings over as far as i know you can just swap the bellhousing's over mate, pretty sure it goes for any of the jatco's including rx7's etc. if my sr20 wasn't in the ke36 i could check, cause i got an sr20 jatco in there and a vl jatco in the shed. oi phil what bellhousing were they going to use on the powerglide? does the toyoglide bellhousing bolt up? and justin in a few weeks i'll have my 5kt :) but no idea when it'll be in the car, not sure if i want to rego it now for the mrs to drive or if i'll wait until a couple months before i get my license back, cause atm i still got 6 and a half months left to go. SLW42 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 get the ef rego'd for her and then she's safe and just has to deal with a slightly heavy clutch, and then rego the twenny and then boost the 5k Quote
untubbed_20 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Wpn36 do u know if a vl turbo jatco bolts up to a ca18? Like can you just swap the bell housings over would have thought so, as the toughest jatco is the Ca20 3 speed one and they put them behind vl turbos...Ca18 and ca20 surely must have same bellhousing cheers darren Quote
ninja-philbo Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 the vl turbo jatco is one of the toughest boxes ive seen ive driven afew built ones and are a nice box withy the powerglide i have a custom bellhousinng. Quote
