was thinking about trying a to3 off a vl or one the the to3s off my 300zx vg30dett powered nissan 720. as shes about to cop twin gt35/40s and yes its auto too

 

After market turbo's?

 

The DETT turbo's are T22's, the early Z31 DET runs a T03.

yeah highflowed vl turbos as i had to make custom manifolds due to turbos not clearing the rails sold all the stock turbo setup off as a turbo kit to a guy with an na 300zx. and made my own setup.

No one which is why I asked if they were, it is a common misconception that people think that the DETT turbo's are T03's because that is what the DET had.

Ok, wouldn't mind seeing a VG in a 720 as they really are an underestimated engine, can you make a rides thread?

once ive finnished the baggs and got the new turbo setup done for sure mate.

originaly went vg due to not wanting to cut the firewall but wanted to make big power.

lol now ive cut it up so much it barely looks like a 720 haha

fully shaved phantom grill cadi lights ..soon to be gone.. almost finnished doin the irs rear end and bags front and rear.

almost given up so many times on it but misso wont let me haha bin thinking about goin manual. but anywho. enought about nissans back to yotas.

sweet just bought a dihatsu charade turbo carby with hat malpassi and also got the dizzy as it has built in boost retard gonna sus it out and see if i can't mod it to fit into a k dizzy

Should be able to just remove the boost retard solenoid off the charade dizzy and retro fit it to the K one...... but at the end of the day you would be stupid not to run ECU controlled ignition from the E11 so you don't need vac/boost solenoid control anyway. :no2:

 

+1 a T04 is simply far too big. Do it if you want, but don't be suprised when you get a "told you so!"

no no the carby and stuff is for the missos 4ku sc14 charged ke36 wagon I'm building. i wont be running a dizzy on the 7k. i got afew turbos to choose from il also be haven a good talk with my tuner/engine man and we will come up with a great setup. so the rules are there is no rules again just has to be a k motor box don't matter

With ya now. :wink: Just make sure the boost retard solenoid will pull enough timing out, vac advance solenoids only add around 8*, you'll need more retarding than that.

 

FYI - I actually went slower with a T28 running 18 odd psi (15.3'ish) than a T25G running 10psi (14.5), so its not all down to volume like Darren said. Responsiveness and where it makes the power makes all the difference on the strip. :yes:

 

Oh and BTW, I'm pretty sure 7ke's have CAS's, but still have a dizzy cap for spark distro duties. Maybe look into them. I've actually got a K series hall effects CAS (custom) at home I need to fit, but need 3x more coils and ignitors to use it.

will look into it in the next couple of weeks when shit kicks off gotta sort afew things out first. il be running individual coils for sure got afew sr and ca ignitors in the shed mite see what i can do. was test fitting ca coilpacs on a 4k the outher day but don't think it will work. oh well lol clant always get it done the easy way.

yeah the wagon isnt gonna be off tap just 4k-u sc14 bit of a fuel system hopefully custom boost retarded dizzy so i don't have to lock it. ke70 5 speed and ke70 diff. any clutch sugestions its my missos car so can't be too hard and has to be traffic frendly but at the same time I'm gonna give it a hard time too.

Exedy heavy duty. Don't go buttom. Could probably get cheaper than an exedy but you get what you pay for. Whatever you do don't get an RPM clutch, they're absolutely shit.
