well guys ive done alot of searching and reading and just can't seem to find what I'm after or just don't understand..

I'm building a tuff lil 4k and its time for carby choice..

i intend to run a t3 turbo on 10psi of boost and yes the motor has bin prepped for it ..

will two g11 turbo charade carbys be abel to feed my motor enough fuel if not what sort of carby will and what do i have to do to get it boost ready..

I'm goin to be running a blow threw setup and don't wanna be running a pressure box around the carby as ive spent alot of time polishing and painting and getting braided lines to have a box in the bay ...

any info wauld be sweet..

and if u have what i need pm me and we can work something out il do a build thread on the car once its setup and running ..

thanks phil..

As far as i understand any carby will theoretically work as long as it is completely airtight and the float is modified so it wont crush under pressure. Someone else will probably be able to give you more info

hopefully someone can ive put alot of money into this build and don't wanna go efi as it pretty much defeats the fun in it lol ,,

when i start to chase more power il change to efi but for now its a personal quest and i was also told by my tuner that u can't get 150hp outa a 4k

so I'm goin to prove him wrong ..

will twin su carbs be abel to handle blow thru and what power can i get them to handle and whats needed to get them boost ready

I was under the impression that to run a blow through set up you needed to run a pressure box around the carby? or wouldn't running a pressur ebox minimize the chance or imploding your carby? don't hold me to it, but thats my 2 cents. i'm an atmo man

good luck tho,

and this

You should be fine with two. I once knew a guy who ran 22psi through one for something like 200bhp on a charade (with jetting etc). Id be very surprised if you can't get enough out of two.

two charade carbs will be fine on a 4k but you will need to change the primary chokes to 4k or 5k ones... and also increase the fuel inlet size just before the float

then just the normal stuff like rising rate reg and decent low pressure pump...

150hp on a 4k with boost is deffenatly doable, would recomend arp head studs tho

Hey sorry I forgot to reply on this earlier in the week.

Have a look at this....

It makes me think why you would need to go twin charade carbs. I don't see why one wouldn't do if it was jetted/coked correctly. Trying to tune 2x carbs and get them synced up well is always going to be a lot more diffcult than just one.

If you want to get really serious with blown-through carbs then you might want to look into sidedrafts. The Peurto Rican's use them on 3tc's etc and run 8-9 second quarters with them. I'm not too sure what needs to be done with them to make them boost friendly though.
