Ok, first thing id like to say is i plan for this car to have show potential as well as impressive runner. I also have a completely secret mod. which i will not discuss till after its complete which is my number one priority after the engine conversion. I plan to put the new engine in and mod the rest of the car to as how i like it and i promise nuthin rice or big rims or big bodykits...lol

and this is my ride:

Hey all, I just bought my 2nd rolla not too long ago and its gunna be a work car 4 me. Nuthin better than an extremely powerful 4 banger for your first car. Anywayz its a ae92 CS rolla with a 4afc (as some of you might know, they definatly don't pump much power such as the pink barbie one at autosalon :bash: )

Future Mods :

Engine

I am yet undecided however, I'm very biased towards the 20v silvertop. I like the style of the engine as it suits me. I would like to eventually rebuild the bottom end with GZE internals and keep the head stock but freshly rebuilt and then turbo it running a max of 15psi.Supercharge is also an option. :P

Paint

I would like to respray the car in holden Sting red possibly with a little purple pearl in it for a twist. However i would also like to paint it black with silver pin stripes. Other exterior aspects i would add obviously is tinted windows, full custom exhaust system, rims (Hyperfang II powdercoated white) and i wish to get front and rear bars lipped, and lipped rollguards and jetspeed side skirts, and lowered on superlows.

Interior

I would like to get my interior completely all redone. I am thinking Black marine vinyl and adding a touch of red here and there on the custom door trims. I would like to make custom door trims myself as well as sub boxes, and other little aspects out of a descent wood(polished up looks very nice). I plan to get power windows, mirrors, keyless entry...all that stuff!

Sound

Yeap a sound system goes down well.

As you can tell it should take a while and i cannot do anything till probably after christmas 2005. Some may be wondering y spend all the money on a rolla? i admire them for thier power for thier size. also I'm only 17 going onto 18...so i would like to stick to a smaller car that is very reliable and powerful for its size. Also you just can't go past the toyota....corolla in particular!

Cheers,

Cameron

thats the plan. use sx series 2 brakes all round and get me some whiteline sway bars. then lower it on kinglows or superlows, and get 16x7 inch rims.

tinting will come later, coz I'm performance before looks, so engine first after the nessesary upgrades needed for engineers certificate...and the my secret mod :P

yup yup, ive got a 3 or 4 different choices for brakes.

also sway bars, well my car doesnt have a front sway bar...dunno about rear...so i wont be mucking...

also i know is that if i lower it obviously it has better stability. slightly wider tyres and bobs ur uncle.

thanks nick.

macca - interesting place to put the head unit...

My head unit is in place of the original tape player - and it was a real c**t to get into and stabilize it in there.......

Will be great when it is done.....!

Yeah mate...main reason for putting headunit there is because...sx cluster is going in soon. ...good someone posted in me thread coz ive actually got some updates i was gunna put in...lol.

Next month i will hopefully be doing:

- new better alarm installed

- stereo rewired, headunit adjusted to allow in Dash CB radio as well, pods put on doors and sub secured.

- catback exhaust system with cannon tip which i already have.

- tinted windows

- rear ae101 RV disc brakes

- SX cluster

Then all i wanna do before the engine conversion is get the new suspension, shocks, springs and sway bars and strut brace.

He said and I quote : "sort out your springs and shocks and don't touch swaybars until you are really happy with your suspension"

I'm also pretty sure that king don't make superlows anymore too, but you might still find some second hand. I've put lows in my own car and I reckon it will sit just fine.

i'll second that on the swaybars, just go for the springs and shocks. whilst you're t it get some decent bushes aswell because they'll help out the swaybars. i've got noltec bushes in my seca and it's cornering ability is just amazing. there is almost no understeer at all which is great. you can throw the car into most corners and it'll just pull through.

no point in going for superlows if you're after a car thats practical to drive everywhere. i've got lovells equivalent to lows and they are fine. any lower and it'd be a pain to drive around in. superlows probably won't compliment a good suspension setup because you still want a little bit of movement so that the shocks can do thier job. as it is mine is a pretty bumpy car to drive around in.

just my $0.02

if i see you before my suspension kicks in i'll take you for a spin in mine so you can get an idea of what i've got.

yeah mike for sure.

thing is tho...i want to get front and rear sway bars because my car doesnt have them like the sx!! ...i think it has a rear one or a front one...but i could be wrong but i definatly know they don't even compare to the sx ones. so i may aswell go all out of adjustable white line 22mm sway bar on the rear and 18 for front.

i dunno...guess it comes down to price :D

I was so sick of not being spotted with my stocko for now...

I ordered my new plates this afternoon so i'll probably have them in a few weeks or so. Now people can actually notice my car...well i still need an exhaust to turn the heads...but the plates are there.
