Dropz Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 ok I'm trying to mount the cable boot and fuel release in my ke70 cs. i need photos of: -the fuel release from inside the fuel flap -the fuel release from inside the boot -the levers by the drivers seat from underneath the carpet -and if its not too hard, where they run down the drivers side floorpan, behind the seats, and in the boot. *this isnt as important though* cheers. Evan G Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 go to the wreckers and have a look before you take it out? Quote
KENut Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 The XX KE70's had them as well as AE71. I have installed the remote boot release into my KE70 CS, didnt do the fuel release as the cable was cut. The levers will fit down to the right of the drivers seat. Its easiest if you take the seat out then lift the carpet. You'll need to find a bolt that fits the welded nut on the floorpan seat support thing. Slit the carpet to fit the levers through. Run the cables down the side of the car under the carpet, you should find a couple of zinc plated clips up the inner wheel arch. Run the boot cable into the boot obviously, and connect it to the latch. Will fit straight up to your latch. Quote

KENut Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) Yeah no idea about the fuel release, but I'd say it just fits straight in with no mods. KE70's were all built the same to save costs, and had bits added as extras, so that any car could be optioned up easily Although, I think I see what you're saying... with the lock/catch etc on the fuel flap Take a photo of the fuel release? Dropz Posted April 13, 2010 Author Report Posted April 13, 2010 it needs mods to fit as it mounts inside the boot, but obviously opens the fuel flap lol. the current catch seems to be spot welded in place, so ill need to grind it off and drill a hole i assume, just want to be 100% with it before i start cutting stuff off and making holes.
