Johno Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Nice work mate, i'll be keen to see this thing on the crusie :) I went to Dandenong Vic roads and they were real laid back, just checked the engine number and vin ;) Burwood vic roads are pretty strict and if your cars pre 90's they start looking at things.. :bash: Quote
Evan G Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) COMPLETED ok last night i was stressing about my sump leaking, so i changed the sump gasket and oil pump. oil pressure is the f@$king same lol! pulled over at a side street just before vic roads, quick look under the sump for any leaks, she was cleannn lady said "could you please drive it and pop the bonnet" drove it around, she checked vin and engine number AND THATS IT LOLLLL!!! got my old rego swapped over to this car, got my rego/plates swapped. jumped in the car and rang racv. my insurance was still on my old number plates so i told them they got my vin/engine number and colour wrong LMAO!,they swapped all the information over and a dozen "sorry we don't know how this happen" and off i went to work with the biggest grim! :jamie: rear lourves + sheep skin seat covers are on  Plans CAMBER! maybe pedder STD height springs in the front happy rolling! special thanks to BLKTOY (Rod) for letting me borrow his legal thread tyres (witch vic roads didnt check LOL!) and the fellow rollaclub member for the kind words during the build Edited July 27, 2010 by Evan G Quote

Evan G Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) hello how the f@$k are yah's? a bit of an update - got my struts bent 1 degree of negative camber (kapish bamboo LOL) - lowered the front today 2" ,$50 to get my springs compressed YEA BOI! - repacked the rear leafs and added a leaf, have to flip the eyes on the w/e - polished all my a/c lines, started fitting the condensor - remote central locking and remote start 80% fitted - painted red rims with house paint whitewalls i think thats about it? test fitted my free intercooler, fits nicely for my future project :D Edited October 5, 2010 by Evan G Quote
greenmac80 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 i like the red and white combo... you got your strut bent to-1 and then you lowered it? if thats the case then you'll have a bit more than -1 now. Quote
Evan G Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 i like the red and white combo... you got your strut bent to-1 and then you lowered it? if thats the case then you'll have a bit more than -1 now. yea i noticed that straight away. steering feels a bit lighter and the LCA are almost flat. looks almost -2 now i have to relearn its limits Quote
greenmac80 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 well you've lowered it so def get it aligned cos your toe will be messed up as well. then we'll see i reckon -1.5 ish. max your castor out as well, will make it heaps nicer at high speeds, Quote
Evan G Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 you have a point there mr greenmac80, max castor will give me heavier steering at lower steering? i got quoted $110 for a alignment for just toe and castor, f@$king bridgestone Quote
greenmac80 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 yeah it does but with that much camber its still good. i can still palm turn my car easily and the castor is maxxed. $110 is waaaay too much its only a 2 wheel alignment. pedders fo sho. thats who i've used. Quote
blktoy35 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 looks heaps better lowered... the front whitewalls look tuff what happen to the rear? you really need tyres with same side wall as the front make it look good... Quote
