Johno Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Just read the whole thing from start to finish. Its looking real nice and its good to see your doing everything properly. It all looks very tidy and nice work on the porting  If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the head work? Quote
Evan G Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 well i went down to my nearest engine machinist and was asking him for prices for decking/ mild port etc etc, he said dw dw ill look after you ive handed him $500 so far waiting for him to ring me back with the full price. anyways. today i fitted a new relay for the starter motor. all good but wont turn over. relay is fitted correctly 100% sure of that. (i fitted a test light to the output, when key is at crank the light comes on) the wire has contenuitly. i pulled down the starter lastweek and gave it a goooood clean. didnt touch the solenoid tho? its one of those tiny starters so i don't need to pull the manifold off to get it out  NFI! its gotta be the solenoid Quote
Evan G Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 or maybe theres no earth's on the motor LOL DOH! Quote
Evan G Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Posted July 3, 2010 ITS RUNNING! went to a cruise to pakenham to pick up some coilovers for a mate and wore in my engine on the way there. pulls till 5000rpm then runs outta puff. sounds f@$king mean but oil pressure is low for my liking 6psi hot idle and 23psi at 2000rpm other than the oil pressure all good! ive nver seen so much smoke in my life when i booted it when i exited my street, cars were flicking there high beams LOL about 3mins later all clear Quote
