hello how f@$k are yah?

 

abit of a update. got every back from my machinist besides the head. hope fully head will be done by tomorrow arvo.

 

machinist was giving it a bit of a headjob and he was surprised how much casting was protruding inside of the ports.

 

crank is in, rear main is on. hopefully by tomorrow pistons/timing chain on

 

anyways if i get my head back before friday, fingers cross will be back together and in the car by late monday night...

 

check how much they had to shave off my rods to get them balanced :)

forgot to add.

 

Ive swapped the dash over and a/c evaporator, swapped those gay ass tail lights. started making gauge pods to fill the gap were the previous butcher cut a massive hole and put a stereo there that doesn't work....

a little update...... nah joking ;) HUGE UPDATE

 

engine in

gearbox in

tailshaft in

 

to do list

  • fill gearbox oil
  • install radiator/engine fan
  • put the wiring back in
  • replace front windscreen
  • replace front and rear window seals
  • change shocks over
  • put door trim on
  • install my tachometer & custom made gauge holder in dash
  • fit new relay for tacho meter/ water temp/ oil pressure
  • run in engine
  • check vale clearances/re torque head bolts
  • change oil
  • RWC!

 

casting removed from intake ports (apparently alot of casting my machinist said)

the head bolts i was gonna reuse untill i remembered another member who snapped one before, i had to steal 5 from my other engine

i think its in the engines best interest that he destroys that standard manifold.

 

so he can throw it out!!!! and put some extractors on!

 

car is looking real good evan g, good to see a nice clean build.

you should of seen the old exhaust manifold. had a thick crack all the way along the hotbox. as soon i took those 3 bolts off a big chunk just fell out LOL
