Evan, got a full set of stock 4K pistons, good ring lands from memory if you want. $1000000.

Only took them out for oversize pistolas.

Car looks choice, what wheels did you get for it?

I dunno, like $30 if that covers post. But yeah you're probably better off getting oversize ones anyway, and bore it out. Rather than have stockers flapping around in there.

Are you going to get those wheels widened? I was thinking of getting some for mine to fit over mah brakes

rang up bob jane for a quote for 195/45R14. $160 EACH!

- today i rebuilt the carby and fitted it to my daily. but for some reason the idle is high. backed off the screws still high idle. i can move the trottle linkage back then it idle fine? blimp the throttle then bam idles high agen?

its like the linkage isnt retracting all the way, i even back off the nut holding the linkages on the shaft.

so i stuck a spring from the clutch fork on the linkage, such a stiff pedal i liked it but it wouldnt last long

no vacuum leaks.

- check all my suspension/ brakes. front wheel bearing were a tad loose. repacked with grease and adjusted em.

sway bar D bushes and link bushes were gone! bought link bushes for $25 from repco but special order for D bushes

all the brakes pads/ wheel cylinders were perfect! tons of meat on the shoes

i was more than happy :jamie:

tomorrow.

will hopefully repaint the engine bay

i bought some body deadener, hopefully ill have time to do under the gaurds

got my block back from the machinist, gave both manifolds/rocket cover/timing cover/block a lick of paint. looks real nice!

awaiting for the bottom end to be balanced then they'll start on the head

got new

both radiator hoses

ordered a water pump off ebay for $64

thermostat

another full gasket kit for $35 ebay special

bursons are f@$king useless! they ordered the wrong front sway bar d bushes! twice! no one makes the 22mm d bushes anymore. went down pedders and for $27 universal d bushes and brackets seamed very reasonable. also got quoted $130 for springs 35mm lower

Again doing great on the progress, Evan. Which carburetor have you fitted to the daily? You may need to fit a primary throttle return spring.

I had the same problem with my 32/36 Weber. eBay has everything you need

Everything seems to be coming along nicely for you mate. You must have some good funds coming in to do all of this work

so quickly... Or have nothing better to spend it on :bash:

ive fitted the rebuild carby to the daily, it kept stalling at the lights. went home checked fuel delivery/changed coil/dissy cap.

sprayed some brake cleaner near the intake, idled a bit higher.

grabbed my mirror and a torched and looked at the intake manifold ALL THE BOLTS MISSING? just the bolts holding the exhaust were there?

fitted new bolts and its perfect! idles fine.

good funds? pfft at this stage my brother will be leanding me money for the rwc and rego
