4k Vs 5k

a 4kc has 58hp from what ive read on the internet what does a 5k have standard and whats different as far as swaapin from 4k to 5k how hard is it? stock gear box and stuff same carb???

Its an easy swap. Everything that mates up to the 4K can mate to the 5K. The 5K is just bigger and has more power.

Its more the torque advantage a 5k has. Remember torque is what accelerates you :D

so 5k has a fair bit more torque yeah what bore and stroke is 5k compared to 4k??

same stroke as a 4k(73mm) but the bore is 80.5 mm, 5.5 mm bigger.

They use the same crank as the 4k, just a bigger bore and stronger block.

Depends on what engine you get, there are a couple of types, one has dished pistons and the other has flat tops, and if you are really lucky you may find one that has solid lifters as well.

The flat top engine will benefit from a 4k head, with the extra compression.

what about the ports in the 4k head are they smaller?

no,4k and 5k have the same ports. 4k-u(dished piston) and 5k(dished piston) have the same head, 27mm intake ports.. and same valves also...
