brolla Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 hey just wondering if anyone can help with this; my dad has a 1969 Corona in his garage and he's looking to sell it. he's had it for about 15 years, it's in good to fair condition with a little ding on one of the front corners, but mostly straight aside from that. does anyone know what sort of price these are fetching? or know of a forum or website to do with coronas? cheers peter Quote
parrot Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Well condition and originality is everything with cars like this. I've seen a couple for sale over the last year or so, and they have struggled to make $1500. Try on Toymods also. Quote

parrot Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 And dare i say it.....ebay. Just make sure you put a decent reserve on it. Quote
silverra23 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 although these things can be cool when restomodded.. they go for bugger all in average condition... $500 is about the best you can expect unless its overrated. Quote
JiP Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 Where is it? I have a mate that just picked one up. He is looking for parts if your wanting to part it out? Quote
xmoht Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 It is a beautiful car. If you can't get a decent price, hold on it and keep it in good nick, the engine working and that. Things always come full circle, styles come and go. You never know, in a decade they could be seen as a classic car. If one of these were the vehicle of choice in a blockbuster film tomorrow, you'd get 10 grand for it! :D Quote
phife Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 I also have one of these in original condition. Unfortunately the market for them as a classic isn't quite there yet. Best you can hope for if in good condition with rego is $1000-$2000. No rego rust buckets go from free to $500 (i did get one for free). Shame really, the Rt40 corona started toyota's repuation as a reliable passenger car. Quote
Gavclassic Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 If its an RT40 unfortunatly prices for these have not done much over the last 15 years. I've had a few, great to drive but overlooked by most people. The Corolla's & Crowns have a bigger following. Depending on condition and originality around $1000 - $2000. If it was the best one in existence still only worth about $6000 to the right buyer. Get some pics posted, this will always help. Good luck! Quote
ke11restorer Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 I would do some unspeakable things for a 2dr RT40. Quote
