JordyKE Posted April 6, 2010 Author Report Posted April 6, 2010 Sloth Posted Apr 4 2010, 08:31 PM I've got a 7k in my 55 with a 2 inch exhaust and I've only been pulled over by the police 4 times (in 5 years) * Once cause I didn't have plates on the car (before it was registered, we had just painted it and it looked overrated), we did have a permit though. * Once when someone else beside me in traffic almost hit a cop... long story * Another time driving with my neons on and a headlight about, although it was just a "random" breathtest (even though the cops put on their lights and sirens and went through a red light to catch me). They didn't pop the hood or anything. * Another time when I got a hoon fine (wasn't doing anything serious, just came round a corner a little quick and one of the wheels slipped). He commented on the car being "loud" but couldn't be bothered doing anything aside from giving me the fine. And as you can see from my sig (and other pictures of the 55) it looks like a little hoon-mobile (with the Cobra style stripes). So in a plain cream 30 you should be fine biggrin.gif Yeah sweet Sloth i mean it should be ok , just a tiny bit risky but i seriously think the cops are after the guys in commodores hooning around so there isnt TOO much to worry about and not after guys in a granny spec rolla haha. I'm liking the cobra style stripes haha looks tough. Cheers Mate Quote
JordyKE Posted April 6, 2010 Author Report Posted April 6, 2010 Hey guys do any of you know where i can get a KE30 Dash mat thats in the Melbourne as my reasonable perfect dash is starting to crack a bit and I'm pissed off hahaha. JordyKE Posted April 6, 2010 Author Report Posted April 6, 2010 Look up a place called "The Dashboard Doctor". I'm starting to wish I paid to get mine reco'd there rather than buying a NOS one... Its only one crack it hasn't like risen or whatever yet (like opened up) its just started extending down my dash towards the front of the car and i hate it! haha i've been watching it since i got the dash about two weeks ago haha. soo all i'm really after is a Dash Mat thats in Melbourne but if not ill just grab the one off ebay for $35, although it has $15 postage. Cheers Jordy Quote
JordyKE Posted April 14, 2010 Author Report Posted April 14, 2010 Hey again just got a quick question for anyone really. But i remember being on one of a members post and seeing this rim.... Just wondering if anyone knows the rim, what its called or what its off by any chance?? Cheers Jordy Quote
JordyKE Posted October 23, 2010 Author Report Posted October 23, 2010 Hey Guys i recently picked up 3 rims with tyres very very cheap from Dandenong wreckers for my 30. I'm just wondering whether anyone knows what they are off, and if anyone happens to have one lying around hahaha? Heres some pics, they are wide compared to the stockies i had on before. The tyres on them when i bought them are 205/65/13' Also tell us what you think..... I'm not sure if i fully like them. I'm going to polish them up tomorrow, and ill put up a before and after pic. Cheers Quote
Ben-89 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Hey Jordy, I'm only guessing but that looks like a ford rim off a late 60's Capri or Escort. That style of rim was more common in 14" and 5 stud on the falcons. Try finding some centre caps (dome shape) and slip it over those three lugs and you'll be set. It will look tough, and if you can't find the same width get the the wheel anyway and widen it. :y: Quote
JordyKE Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah i was thinking the same kinda style as one of the early muscle cars haha. Cheers for that. Yeah ill look around for this dome shape piece and get back to ya haha. I went to a place near my house a tyre joint, they said they can get the rim for $80 because i think they need to widen it as its been done on these rims. Bummer there weren't a set of 4 at the wreckers. ps. its not letting me attach photos. gay as aids. Quote
JordyKE Posted October 30, 2010 Author Report Posted October 30, 2010 How they tidied up. Pretty Impressed. Quote
JimL Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Thats a real clean 30 you have there! Those wheels came up nice, they look tough as. Edited October 30, 2010 by JimL Quote
JordyKE Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 Alright so this one isn't on the road anymore. I couldn't really afford 2 cars to be on the road at once. However it still runs, alot better than my KE26. Started first time after ages and is quiet as compared to the 4k in the 26. Miss it haha. Quote
