Hey, had a look and couldn't find anything so ill ask.

does anyone know what the process is with transferring rego in nsw as I might be buying a car from nsw and can put the rego in my mates address but the car in my name. So I just really need to know if you need a pink slip (I think it is the same as RWC in QLD) or not cause they have to get one every year someone said they just pay the transfer fee and stamp duty and that's that.

you don't need a rwc (pink slip) to transfer rego

you need signed rego papers

pay stamp duty and shit, and there we go.

do you know if you need a NSW license, or can I transfer it into my name?

I had to go through this with my last car. To transfer the rego into your name if you hold a qld licence you have to basically get the car a rwc and i think you need to pay for at least 6 months rego as well as paying the stamp duty and all that jazz. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

so I have to get another pink slip for the car? if I do ill just transfer it into my friends name, then when the rego is due ill just get a rwc and rego it in qld. Also I believe in QLD you don't even have to be old enough to get a license to have a car registered in your name.

oh ye just to let you know it still has 7 months rego on it so I don't need to pay for anymore rego.

also unrelated would anyone know why my "Enable email notification of replies" is not working I tick the box all the time and I still don't get email updates. if a mod can I would like all threads I post in to have Enable email notification of replies.
