I want to know how the engine ran. You normaly don't put the magnets into steel as it spreads the magnetic field,so it wont be as pinpointed, you normaly put them into aluminium.

Are the magnets raised above the surface, If it does work ok id like to try it myself.

well i figured out the bug that was in my system, and EEEEETTTS ALIVE!!!! The 5K i have on the stand atm roared to life at about 8:30 tonight....with no exhaust i might add....lol

So next is hooking up the gauges i have sitting here and then running the engine for a bit :)

Atm its just a test stand....it may turn into a dyno if i can figure out how to hook something to the output of the engine... :)

The engine hasnt actually run long enough for anything to heat up, there for no flammage....(didnt wanna piss off the neighbours with the noise)

soft!

ahaha i wanna see flamage vids!

can't u do the whole drum brake to the crank and blah blah like old school engine dynos

remember readin somethin bout it once

Grab a hydraulic PTO off a digger or something. Hook up a valve to control the load and an oil cooler to stop things getting real hot, real fast and away you go. Variable load dyno :)

This is great! I think that I'll be grabbing the crossmember off my KE55 before it goes to scrap, I'm taking from the pictures at the start of the thread that there is only four bolts holding it on?

Cheers,

Dan.
