cinky Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) as u can see in my signature i'l be selling the XP shortly. and am on the hunt for the next two vehicles to put thru. i have the option on TA22 celica, datto 240Z or a couple of EH holdens one sedan one wagon. or RX 4 that ive already got at home Votes please Edited March 24, 2010 by cinky Quote
Jason KE30 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 So you can obtain any of these vehicles? Obviously being a Toyota forum, people will be biased. But if it were me personaly, I would go for the 240z and the rx4. Reason being, 240z's are getting damn hard to find, and the rx4 because they are worth a fair bit these days... If it's a coupe of course. If not, then the ta22. Cheers Jason Quote
cinky Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 well technically yes i can as in i have approached the owners and they are interested in selling but what price i will give and what they want is usually the biggest obsticle. yeah the RX4 is the coupe. i did an RX3 and 808 combo a few months back and i almost lost money on the 808 despite being the better body where as the RX3 made 80% profit. the TA22 is missing the front RH guard and havent done research on how hard they are to get Quote
Felix Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Go the EH Holdens. An aussie icon with a much wider market when it comes to selling. Quote
drc_ke20 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 any chance of pictures so it makes it easier *scratches arms* I`m a car-aholic! Quote

Old fella Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 also i noticed an early jap skyline (datsun) 4-door. any one know much about them? motor? value? collectibility i.e how rare? its at a place called bribberee which is 100 miles from no where so i want it to be worth my while to go look at it. similar to these G`day mate, I had one of these years ago and absolutely loved it. They were a follow on model from the Datsun 240 K. Not overly powerfull (L24, 2400cc????) and mine was an auto (tbar 3 speed), but still a joy to drive. Trailing arm rear suspension giving full independant suspension made it handle very nicely for a stock car. Came with power steering and air con, velour seats, carpet, full instrumentation and a nice looking steering wheel. Dunno how collectable they would be now coz they suffered with the typical Datto rust problems of the era. I had mine for a few years and it wound up being sold to a family member who kept it until it eventually went to the wreckers. The auto dropped second gear at about 300k and the head gasket went around the same time. Both were repairable. All in all, a nice car that, in my opinion, was very under rated. Cheers, Old Fella. cinky Posted March 27, 2010 Author Report Posted March 27, 2010 haha if I had a camera with me there would be a 100 updates a day and the camera on my phone couldn't zoom far enough. I'll be going back there next week for work so I'll invest in a camera to take with me. Quote
anastasios Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 I would say the RX4 they go for heaps these days Quote
Doogs Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 For me it would be the TA22 and the EH wagon. :P EH's are great little cars and I'm also a fan of the early Celicas. Quote
