Nitephyre Posted July 30, 2005 Author Report Posted July 30, 2005 yeah.. i might come see you one day next week, and i'll ask my mechanic if he knows about autos.. :P Quote
Nitephyre Posted August 25, 2005 Author Report Posted August 25, 2005 (edited) rightio, the saga continueth... i think i've nailed the stalling problem, due to some air leaks after the AFM and a bad spark lead (the cap was all split etc) but... i had to get nice new tyres yesterday.. $440 fit/balanced goodyear ducaro's.. nice enough.. but i'm told "you need new inner tie rods" GREAT so i take it to my mechanic after the tyre fit and ask some q's and since the brake calipers of an MS123 crown worked, we go with the assumption that the tie rods might be similar, he does a quick ring around and finds them.. i take him the car today to work on.. what's happened is unfortunately, they were too long, and he tried a couple of other models which varied from longer to shorter.. but here's the pickle on the ice cream... i *might* be able to find some at a place out at acacia ridge who has stacks of different rods, apparently... now, the problem is i need to actually *TAKE* one with me, oops.. i can't drive now.. define ironing  I REALLY feel like this *points down below* Edited August 25, 2005 by NiteP]-[yRe Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 ok, ask me why i have 7 cars......... Quote
Nitephyre Posted August 26, 2005 Author Report Posted August 26, 2005 hehe, well the GF's commonwhore just got de-registered cause she couldn't afford to keep it.. ran out last week... ah irony I've almost got it sorted now, after going around all over town today, i've got one tie rod rebuilt, gotta do the other one next week sometime, then get an alignment.. then i've got most of this months problems sorted :D Quote
Super Jamie Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 no big loss, commodores are gay. credit card the rego, sell the car and pay the rego off, spend the rest on the real car :D :D Quote
Nitephyre Posted August 26, 2005 Author Report Posted August 26, 2005 exactly.. only a commodore.. but it's always handy to have two cars.. it's not being registered again dude, it's not roadworthy anymore.. and as below :D Quote
Joch666 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 (edited) When you've all finished bagging my car, you can get stuffed. It was given to me so I didn't have to pay for it and it had less kms on the clock, less rust and is closer to being roadworthy than the rustbucket rollavan sitting like a lump in the garage. Least the crummydore starts. Unfortunately it guzzles like a football spectator and costs a fortune to register. Hence the not having money thing. I'd rather have a house to live in..
