So the placard in my corolla says that my tyres should be at 24 psi but when they're there they seem too low. I have the original stock wheels on. What is the best pressure to have them at?

Yeah if they are 13's or 14's id still stick with 34psi for day to day driving, it gives good wear and good performance.

Tyre pressures move with new technology and time :jamie:

I really doubt a 91 seca would say 24 psi? thats kinda weird

.....but under that it probably also says "For sustained high speeds - add 4psi". :jamie:

please don't put 34psi in them, you will understeer/oversteer in the wet and dry like theres tomorrow

can you care to explain how? I'm curious

Although you don't recommend what pressure to run?

well this is from my personal experience, i ran 34 front 38 rear cause i though 26 was a bit low,

used to understeer quiet badly in the wet. in the dry it used to under steer when "spirited driving"

I'm running 30 rear/ 26 front and noticed ALOT less understeer

Look at the recommended pressures printed on the tyres sidewalls and experiment from there.

Personally I've found with RWD cars I like running the fronts about 4 psi higher than the rears. A FWD will probably be a bit different though.

On my ke15 (185/60x13 A539s) I run 44psi front / 40psi rear. SFA sidewall flex, plus even tyre wear with regular tyre rotations. Neutral steer with awesome traction both wet and dry.

Tyre quality plus suspension setup makes a MASSIVE difference to how a car handles.

Yeah experimentation is really the best way to go about it, at my old work we ran 3/4 of the cars with similar sizes at 34psi. Then again it all depends on how you drive and what you want out of it.

Personally i run 42psi in my fronts and 40 in my rears, although i do have 205/40 17's
