`Harlzz Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, Recently i've taking a liking to ke70's and I really want to buy one, I don't really know much about them so any information would be excellent. Few questions; What should I be taking into consideration when purchasing a Ke70? Would it be easiar for me to buy one without rust or to repair the rust myself? Where should I be looking for rust when inspecting a ke70? I found this one with 140k on the clock it's 4 speed manual, no rego/rwc etc. How much would you guys pay for this? Thank's for your time. anastasios Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 All comes down to money my friend, and how much of it your willing to spend. Just buy one and start from there, they are getting hard to find these days. Quote
`Harlzz Posted March 23, 2010 Author Report Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) Old mate wants 800 ONO for that one I posted, he said the rust isn't bad but whos to take his word. Also he said he doesn't think theres much rust anywhere else. The interior is clean the motor goes good and everything else is good. I was thinking if the rust really isn't that bad i'd offer him anywhere between 600-750? afew answers - Can you afford it haha :P - depends if you plan on doing the work yourself or sending it to a shop so that ones really up to you to decide whats easier....just depends how bad the rust is? - look around windscreen, bottom of doors and on the 'A' pillars but if it was me id just check EVERYTHING not just the normal problem areas you want to make sure you know what you getting....no one likes those nasty suprises :sob: - Yea that one looks pretty straight but pretty hard to tell from just one picture...looks to be some rust around the windscreen....I not long off the boat from NZ so not going to say what id pay for it cos they not same price as back home....plus id be buying a twin headlight one :jamie: good luck finding your rolla matey....let us know how you get on I can afford one in this state, not one that is allready modified. B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Slant front to flat front to quads is piss easy. Bolt off bolt on. And theres a wiring diagram for quads floating around in the tech section. Quote
mungi mods Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 rust. check entire boot seal area. under and above taillights bottom of rear screen rear arches rear of roof above "c" pillar roof gutters around vents on c pillar around front screen radiator support battery tray and area surrounding... good ones sell for $500-1000 rusty ones get crushed quad conversion is possible although you need a complete flat front and the radiator support is different as is the front lower valance you need to re drill to mount the headlights and cut or purchase the lower valance so the quads fit properly Quote
