jason12 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 As far as i know it fits without chopping the firewall. Tunnel will require a bash. Do a search for better info has been covered a few times Quote
rke_011 Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) As far as i know it fits without chopping the firewall. Tunnel will require a bash. Do a search for better info has been covered a few times been there done that  , awesome for burnouts (car was built for burnout comps), hope these help speak to rob at ramapge exhausts in sa, he could probably knock up another set of mounts and extractors and tell u more.. Des Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Yeah, Awesome for burnouts and the drags, That's about it though. It will handle like shit and burnouts will kill a stock auto reasonably quick. The ke70 diff will shit itself pretty quick too. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Shouldn't have much problems. As long as you enlarge the trans tunnel and upgrade the brakes and drivetrain at the same time, you'll be sweet. don't be surprised if it handles like a sack of crap though. Quote
Mitch-12 Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 ok guys so i got my commodore and rolla next month or so will be getting right into it i only drive it on dirt khanacross car it has 185/70 R14s on the rear how will the diff go? and its only loose dirt so i dunno what you guys think Quote
Des Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 One wheel skids will kill it quick. I smashed 3 corona diffs with a stock 3.8 and auto, They are slightly bigger than a ke70 diff. Quote
Des Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Should be ok then. If its an auto your doing skids/giving it a hard time it wont last long. I killed 2 auto's. Go a manual or build a decent auto. Quote
Mitch-12 Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 i got manual or auto but I'm gonna use the auto cause its like a little 1km rally track and you go through 1st and 2nd alot so an auto will be easyer i don't jus do skids and shit at the worst dirt drifting lol Quote
LXY-642 Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 You might find a stock ke70 will be quicke for motorcross. Cause the v6 ke70 won't want to turn. When it does if hour going quick prob just light up and oversteer. And as far as firewall. I kwow you been told it fits. Just remember. V6's are only 3 cylinders long Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Cause the v6 ke70 won't want to turn. oh it would turn, just not with the front wheels! Do it, would be a crazy fun car, and agreed probably no quicker than the stock ke70 through the coarse, but twice as fun! If you use the vn stuff it has no bcm so one less wiring problem too. I say use the manual if you have it, for rally driving an auto is never the same. Quote
Mitch-12 Posted May 8, 2010 Author Report Posted May 8, 2010 how bad to they understeer? haha it will be more fun though Quote
rke_011 Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Yeah like the others said, it doesnt like to go around corners if your carrying too much speed.. you can get heavier springs for the front end to compensate for the extra weight and they make it handle better that a stocky. We havent blown any transmissions yet as we have found that using good trans fluid and a big cooler seem to keep things happy. We had to lock the diff, which holds up fine but now we have a problem snapping axles all the time. all in all its an awesome fun car to drive and people can stop laughing when they get out of it. The torque of the v6 and its revy nature make it quite twitchy to drive and its quite possible to light up both the rears at 60kph by stepping on the throttle. If your planning on driving it on the streets get some decent wheels and rubber, h/d lowered front springs (ours were a custom job) a hd sway bar, lower the rear and get a decent diff cut down and fit and it will be hard to wipe the smile off ya face.
