Diff Oil

Alec here again with the Ke70 (4k) with a stock diff.

 

I've got some gearbox oil here that says i can put it in my diff? might be a silly question but can i do that?

 

also do i have to take the back plate off the diff to drain the oil? and if so do i need another gasket or something to replace it with?

Yeah you'll have to take it off and you'll probably need to replace the gasket which probably is a good idea anyway. Though I've just loosened the bolts and pried the bottom open a bit and drained it that way.

 

80w/90 is the diff oil recomended in the manual.

 

EDIT: I say it to everyone, a gregorys manual is worth its weight in Rolla's.

cheers bro, i'll have a look at how bad the gasket is, might top her up for the time being. time to find a 28mm spanner.

yeah i got a Haynes, its shit.
