sleepercorty Posted September 23, 2011 Author Report Posted September 23, 2011 so sounds like you have picked the cressida, well for now anyway  , i will have to crank mine up to catch you now ! yes for now cressida will get the goods, cortina wil stay as a 400hp cruiser for a bit. i don't think you will have much drama catching me Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 8, 2011 Author Report Posted October 8, 2011 so i have a spare engine and gearbox now so I'm not as worried about breaking this one, also bought a hoist so working on cars got so much easier Quote

sleepercorty Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 Damn thats a nice setup. Super jealous. Whats happening with the cortina recently? cortina is being gay, first had dramas with gearbox on dyno and fixed that, then tuned car and went to finish tune next day and was randomly going very lean halfway through ramps on the dyno, clamped off fuel return hose and all good so replaced fuel reg and was getting it ready to go back on dyno and i think it has broken a ring land in the motor has a rattle when cold but goes away when warm. so i was going to pull the head off to do camshaft and springs but now will be pulling motor out and either put another stock piston in or buy a set of acl hypatec pistons Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Damn, what brand fuel reg is to blame for the bad news? Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 it was a sard one same as what i use on everything, it was fairly old but and had been sitting so id say the rubber in it had gone abit hard Quote
ae824ate Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 (edited) No good to hear about the dramas man. Saw you the other day and was gonna say gday but you probably don't remember me. Have you got a rides thread for it on another site or something? Edited October 9, 2011 by ae824ate Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 10, 2011 Author Report Posted October 10, 2011 No good to hear about the dramas man. Saw you the other day and was gonna say gday but you probably don't remember me. Have you got a rides thread for it on another site or something? yeh I'm not really worried about the motor it is stock which is good cause i could have spent $5000 on a motor and it would still be broken from the same thing. i have a readers thread on performance forums for the cortina, you should if come and said hi just remind me who you are i have a terrible memory Quote
ae824ate Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Will do man, and ill have a look for the thread, cheers. Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 put the car on the hoist the other night just to check a few things over as i doesnt get much looked at apart from regular oil change, and realised that one of my vacuum hoses was blown of the powersteering switch so not sure how long that had been off but will have to start putting zip ties on my vacuum hoses for the next boost setting. also ordered some parts from japan land to go on the shelf for when there needed, oil pump and head gasket are actually pretty well priced for genuine parts Quote
sleepercorty Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 new plates are ordered Quote
